Review: Wrecked by H.P. Landry
*Spoiler Alert*
As I read the prologue, I was a sniveling snotty mess and I was damn nervous that this whole book would follow suit, but damn if I was wrong. You're immediately pulled into the this tragic story and the aftermath of that story. There are people who believe in true love, I am not one of them but Mylie Mier is. Instead of having fun with "Mr. Right for Now's" she is holding out for the real thing, good luck sister!
Then enter Damien Mother Freaking James... I admit it, I wanted to rip the %uckers head off! He was such a #ick, and callous doesn't even begin to describe this douche but the awesome thing about this book is that you get an in depth look into Damien's POV and Mylie's. Immediately, Mylie is attracted to Damien until he speaks and then all bets are off. She is disgusted by her attraction and Damien is making it easier for her to hate him.
Now as you read, you are stuck on the tight rope not knowing how you feel... Unfortunately, Damien pushes Mylie away and in act of desperation in my opinion, she pushes her feelings aside and meets a delicious man meat who I could only describe as Chris Hemsworth! Yowza! But little does everyone know that this is just the sprinkle of depth of this book... its a mind fu$# of a book and I was cursing at H.P. Landry the whole time! When it was over, I needed more! Who is this woman and why did she freaking do this to me?
What I love about this book: That it wasn't a sugary romance and there was depth to the characters.
What I hated about this book: That it ended the way it did... I won't ruin it but I wanted to rip the authors arm off and beat her with it so she could hurry up and finish.
Would I recommend this book: Hell yes... why the hell not. People read crap books, so why not read a good one?
